LLCC and Illinois Grape Growers and Vintners Association to host winery sustainability and design workshop July 9

SPRINGFIELD—Lincoln Land Community College’s Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts programs in partnership with the Illinois Grape Growers and Vintners Association are sponsoring a one-day winery sustainability and design workshop on Saturday, July 9. The workshop is being held from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Trutter Center on the LLCC campus, 5250 Shepherd Road, Springfield. Registrations are being accepted.
This workshop, led by industry leader Dr. Bruce Zoecklein of Virginia Tech University, will address a variety of topics relevant to established wineries as well as those individuals in the planning stages of establishing a winery. Topics include winery design and design pitfalls, sustainable winery architecture, sustainable practices and monitoring, winery and tasting room design, marketing the winery, and winery business and licensing issues.
Registration fee is $150 and includes a workshop booklet and lunch.
